We started with Rachmaninoff Polichinelle in F-sharp minor, Op. 3, No. 4. We reviewed what I already knew, first.
I did realize though that I was making a mistake in measure 10, on the first beat. I thought both hands had the F# octave, while really the right hand only has a single F#, right above the left hand.
I continued learning from measure 95, to the end (measure 130). It was easy to learn, because it was very similar to the beginning, except it built on some chords, and of course the end was different.
Then I started learning Keyboard Sonata in E major, K.380/L.23/P.483: Andante comodo, by Scarlatti. I learned from measure 1 to 10.
I had never heard of this piece before, I didn’t think, but then I looked it up on Google, and found this video. There are parts of it that sound really familiar, so I’m guessing I have heard it before. It makes me pretty excited to learn it, because I like it.
